Catalpa is a private studio located in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, Quebec, Canada. The Street address is 454 Avenue Beaumont, studio #4.

The studio is on the 2nd floor and can be accessed directly by a staircase consisting of 20 steps. This means that is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. We are currently working on finding a space to accommodate those who have accessibility needs. The entrance of the studio is a single door.
The washrooms are found on the same floor as the studio. There is no handrail in the washroom. The washroom door is 29 inches wide.
If you have questions about the accessibility of our studio, please contact us, and we will do our best to adapt our space to your needs.

Each artist has their own rates. A sliding scale can be offered to make our tattoos more accessible. Drawing time is included in the final price of the tattoo. Once an appointment is confirmed, an estimated price will be provided. Payments are accepted in cash, e-Transfer, or Paypal for those coming from outside of Canada.
Please note that the closest ATM is about 10 minutes walking distance from the studio.
-
A deposit will be requested when you confirm your tattoo appointment. Please contact your artist to confirm the amount of your deposit. You may either pay cash at the time of your consultation or make a transfer using e-Transfer or Paypal (confirm this with your artist when paying). In general, the deposit is non-refundable. If you’d like to change the time and/or date of your appointment, you must let the artist know at least 48 hours in advance.
The deposit is non-refundable if:
– The artist has worked on your drawing, but you decide not to get tattooed
– You do not come to your appointment, or you cancel less than 48 hours before your appointment
– You cancel without the intention of rescheduling your appointment
– You wait more than a year before rescheduling your appointment
– Please ask your artist about their late policy

We do! Since our studio is quite small, we typically welcome guest artists when one of our artists is absent. Please write to us if you wish to do a guest spot in our studio. Please note that it is essential that the guest artists we welcome in our studio agree with the values of our studio and adhere to our COVID-19 protocol and standards of tattoo hygiene.
-
While we understand that it is sometimes impossible to come to an appointment for different reasons, please note that you must let your artist know at least 48 hours in advance to not lose your deposit. We will do our best to arrange a new appointment for you as soon as we can. Please contact your artist directly by email if you need to cancel.
